What: Facebook FB 313,59, +1,17% announced plans for a new social virtual world, called Horizon.
When: During its VR conference Oculus Connect 6 (OC6), the company said its Oculus users can expect the beta launch in early 2020.
More precisely: Horizon users can design their avatars and build their own worlds through a library of drag-and-drop 3D objects. They can do this “[…] all from scratch—no previous coding experience needed.”, the company promises.

With the new launch, the company will be sunsetting features like Facebook Spaces and Oculus Rooms.
